Opinions & Editorials

This section is dedicated to the expression of opinions and editorials.   I've written many pieces that have been reprinted (with & without permission...Right Bruce? ;-)) throughout the world.   Many pointed out the pecularities of today's music scene, its perceptions, and its prejudices.  Here are just a couple:

I welcome readers to submit their thoughts & opinions because, to only have one opinion be the rule limits objectivity.

Submitted material must meet certain guidelines.   In compliance with international copyright laws, the author of the piece is and will always be the original and only owner of his/her work.   All writtings submitted are submitted on the author's freewill with the unequivocal understanding that no compensation, monetary, or otherwise implied, will be made by Nestor A. Guidelines

for

Article Submission

1)   Articles submitted must be in ASCII/TXT format.   Most word processing programs have a function that converts files into the universal ASCII/TXT format.   Inorder to convert a file to this format just click on save as choose a name and just below choose format.   ASCII/TXT files are easier to transmit via Email.

2)   Articles must be no less than 500 words.   This is because I feel that if I'm going to print something, it better be worth the reader's time and my time.   The only way I can assure this, is by you putting the time and writting something of substance.   Fair?

3)   Opinions & Facts.   Opinions are like , everybody has one.   Unfortunatelly, not everyone is clear in understanding what clearly is just that - An opinion.   Facts are very important for the validation of a story's.   Unfortunatelly, they are not important when expressing an opinion.   What are you saying?   What I'm saying is (or rather what I'm asking) please be clear in your articles.   If you're expressing an opinion, let the reader know.   Similarly, if you're expressing a fact let the reader know.   If you were told about something in confidence, then honor that confidence.   However be ready to accept the repercussions of expressing your opinion with or without facts.

4)   Always include your email address.   Work submitted without an Email address will not be posted.   The reason for this is pretty obvious.   You want to have direct contact with the people that read your work.   You also want to be responsible for whatever you wrote in case you chose to ignore the previous guideline.
