JIMMY BOSCH AT SOB's, MONDAY, APRIL 10th at 8:00 p.m.
New York's most sought after trombonist, reinvigorates the Latin music scene by projecting his essence through his emphatic solos and rhythmic melodies, with the progressive sound he calls "Salsa Dura" (Hard Salsa).
With trombone in hand, Jimmy Bosch began his pursuit of a music career at the age of thirteen. In 1978 he attended Rutgers University where he gained more exposure and was discovered and hired by Andy Gonzalez to work with Conjunto Libre. Over the past two decades, he has worked with numerous salsa legends including Cachao, Celia Cruz. Eddie Palmieri, Fania All Stars, Ray Barreto, Ruben Blades, Willie Colon and Oscar D' Leon. Bosch was also the acting musical director for Marc Anthony, one of tne most acclaimed artists on the salsa scene. He has two recordings under his belt including Salsa Dura (RykoLatino 1999) and his internationally acclaimed 1998 debut Soneando Trombon. Jimmy has appeared at numerous festivals and venues including Lincoln Center the Montreal Jazz Festival (Canada), Umbria Jazz Festival (Italy) and Sidney Festival (Australia).RykoLatino's recording artist Jimmy Bosch, will perform songs from his recording Salsa Dura with his ten piece band at the famous SOB's in New York City located at 204 Varick Street.
