George Lamond

GL

(c) 2000 Prestigio Recordings

GL, George Lamond's sophomore Salsa album contains 12 tracks and provides astounding musical arrangements that merge traditional rhythms with contemporary lyrics and is accompanied by some of the industry's finest musicians.

The first single, Jurare Quererte, is catapulting Lamond to the next level of his career.   Showcasing his true balladeer flair with a Bolero version produced by Luis D. Cabarcas (Luchito) and the salsa version produced by Miguel Bonilla (Que Te Vas).

This album will translate a new growth in my vision and style of tropical salsa.   In collaboration with some of Latin music's most venerable talents from Luis "Luchito" Cabarcas, Jose Lugo (Gilberto Santa Rosa) Cheo Arce (Eddie Santigo), Cuto Soto (Jerry Rivera), Yomo Toro (Fania All-Stars), Ram6n Sanchez (Victor Nanudle), Miguel Bonilla (Que te vas), Olsvado Pichaco (Rey Ruiz) to Angel Fernandez, (Michael Stuart/Marc Anthony).   I recorded this album to be, with no disregard for my past English recordings, a continued step in the new direction for myself as an artist as well as in furthering my Latin heritage.   Along with all of the above-mentioned talented singers, writers, musicians & arrangers, I welcome you to a new dawning: My 2nd Salsa album simply entitled, GL.   Enjoy". - George Lamond

Editor's Note:   Eventhough this CD is not as bright, in terms of sound quality, as his debut production, it has a better sense of direction.   My favorite tracks are the two ballads.
